Terms of Sale

In short: Rockland Scanner costs $399 once and includes a year of updates. Paddle handles the payment as our reseller. You get your license key by email right away, you can ask for a full refund within 30 days, and the version you buy keeps working for as long as you like.

These Terms of Sale apply when you buy a Rockland Scanner license from Rockland Analytics LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("Rockland Analytics", "we" or "us"). Your use of the software itself is governed by the License Agreement.

1. Who you are buying from

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

2. What you get

  • A perpetual license to use Rockland Scanner on up to two computers at a time, for your own business purposes, including work you do for your own clients.
  • One year of updates, starting on the purchase date. Any version we release in that year is yours to install and keep.

3. Prices and taxes

Prices are shown in US dollars on our website. Paddle adds sales tax, VAT or GST at checkout where the law requires it, and collects and pays that tax. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects an order you have already placed.

4. Delivery

Rockland Scanner is delivered digitally. After your payment is confirmed, your license key is emailed to the address you gave at checkout, usually within minutes. You download the software from our website. If your key hasn't arrived within an hour, check your junk mail folder, then email us.

5. Free trial

You can try Rockland Scanner free for 14 days before buying. The trial includes every feature; reports made during the trial are marked as trial reports. Each computer can use one trial.

6. Updates renewal

When your year of updates ends, the version you have keeps working. If you want newer versions, you can renew updates for another year at the renewal price shown on our website (currently $149). Renewal is a separate purchase that you choose to make: nothing renews or charges you automatically.

7. Refunds

If Rockland Scanner isn't right for you, you can get a full refund within 30 days of purchase. See our Refund Policy. When a purchase is refunded, its license is deactivated.

8. Activation

The software activates online when you enter your key, and checks your license from time to time when a connection is available. It works offline for up to a year at a time. You can move a license to another computer by deactivating it on the first one. Our Privacy Policy explains what activation sends.

9. Warranty and liability

The software is provided under the warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability in the License Agreement. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order.
